These fabulous antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Gold shamrock earrings are Circa 1900.
The wonderful pair are adorned with three large Garnet’s making up a beautiful three leaf clover with smaller Bohemian Garnet’s underneath.
Shamrocks were a popular motif in the Victorian era and have long been a symbol of Ireland and Saint Patrick who used this symbol to illustrate the Holly Trinity.
The Garnet has been adored throughout history for it’s blazing red colour which hides beneath it’s dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
The earrings are all set in Garnet Gold and fitted with secure push back posts.
These are a wonderful pair of Victorian earrings, steeped in history and look beautiful when worn.
