This magnificent antique French Cabochon Garnet ring was made during the Victorian era, Circa 1890.
The wonderful ring is adorned with a large deep red Cabochon Garnet in the centre and surrounded by a halo of smaller Garnet’s.
The Garnet has been adored throughout history for it’s blazing red colour which hides beneath it’s dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
The ring is set in a fancy French Silver gallery which is gilded in Gold around the outer circumference.
Complete with French hallmarks which are on the outside of the shank.
